Designer Anniversary Exhibition - Markku Piri

LIFE-WORKMARKKU PIRI’s 30 years

In his thirty years as a designer and artist, Markku Piri has
acted with amazing versatility and exceptional creative bursts.
His anniversary exhibition at TR1 at the old Finlayson factory
area in Tampere is not just a retrospective. It exhibits an enthusiastic
man’s strong new output: kitchens for Puustelli, fabrics
for Vallila Interior, ceramic tiles for Pukkila and graphic art
with the Himmelblau workshop. The exhibition is jointly
organized by Tampere Art Museum and Markku Piri.
A book of 120 pages and photos, an introduction by the
esteemed Italian expert Rodrigo Rodriquez and a text by the
Bonn based Finnish curator Ritva Röminger-Czako will be
published in connection with the exhibition.
